EVERGLADES CHAPTER / ANTIQUE MOTORCYCLE CLUB OF AMERICA

ANNUAL MEETING – SEPTEMBER 19, 2009

CLEWISTON INN – CLEWISTON, FL.

 

 Meeting was called to order at 2:14 p.m.

 

Those club members attending were President Jack & Kelli Stauffer (Newsletter Editor), Vice President Bob & Penny Anderson (Secretary). David Porter (Treasurer), Roy Wasson, Mike Pruszynski, Alan Berry, Bob Scharf, Tommy Rosegger and new member Wayne Mack.  Guests include Rob Graney and Lynne Rosegger.

 

President Jack announced two Chapter event invitations:

 

1)      “Celebration of Smiles” to be held at a private museum in Plantation, Fl.

Saturday October 10th, invitation by Ron Catronio (Petersen’s Harley).

$ fee unclear.  More information to follow.

2)      2nd Annual Antique Motorcycle Show at Gulf Coast Motorcycles – Ft. Myers.

No date yet announced.  Will promote if ample time given.

 

President Jack informed the club that sponsorship was received from the following businesses;  Gulf Coast Motorcycles, LLC and Party King.  Tentative sponsors include Eddinger Pest Control and Barbara Creative Jewelry.  Note their advertisements in the upcoming newsletter issues and website.

 

Discussion was made concerning club sponsorship of antique motorcycle racer, Art Delor, at the Vintage Motorcycle Races at Daytona during Bike Week.  This would consist of a one time entry fee payment. Proposal made and passed with a limitation of payment of no more than $125.  Additional discussion was made of setting up a “club” tent during the event.  Further information to follow.

 

The Treasurers report by David Porter indicated that membership dues offset the publishing costs of the newsletter and any postcards sent to inform members of upcoming events.

 

A proposal was made to have an amendment to the by-laws, Section III, Officers and Board of Directors.  The amendment would revise current reading to say “…..the nine members of the Board of Directors including the Editor and the Officers (President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer) shall be elected by the membership at the annual meeting.”  Proposal voted upon and approved.

 

Proxy voting was discussed.  Suggestion was made to “disallow”.  Voted upon and approved.

 

Upcoming club rides were discussed.  Suggestion made that we concentrate on 4 regional areas.  Locations yet to be decided.

 

President Jack informed the club that National would like to see more road runs.  Proposal was made to have our chapter host such in 2011.  Vote was taken and favored.  Committee to be formed and headed by Alan Berry.  Suggestion was made by Vice President Bob Anderson for the central location be Silver Springs.  Voted and passed for a 3 day event.

 

Election process proceeded.  The results for the 2010 Board of Directors, Editor and Officers are as follows:  President Jack Stauffer, Vice President Bob Anderson, Secretary Penny Anderson, Treasurer David Porter, Editor Kelli Stauffer and Board of Directors include Roy Wasson, Alan Berry, Mike Pruszynski and Tommy Rosegger.

 

Meeting adjourned 3:25 p.m.
